Scheduling your Newborn Session
The optimum time to photograph a newborn is between 5 -14 days after birth when they are sleepier and less active. Most newborns are scheduled anywhere from 5-14 days after the birth. The timeframe usually varies based on the baby weight and progression. A baby born around 2.2-2.7kg may be scheduled around the 14th day, whereas a baby born 3.2-3.8 or 4kg, may be scheduled around 8-12 days. We do suggest newborns be scheduled within the first two weeks.This ensures babies can be safely placed in the various newborn-specify poses.
But if you miss out the window frame, no worry, we still able can arrange shooting for you, because it is never too late to have your baby photographed before they turned 4-week old or 6-week old. It is important to manage expectations of a session. But that is important to let you understand that, when they are older, they may not be able to curl into womb positions, more alerts, less sleep, will be stretching out more, unable to settle easily when disturbed or want to be wrapped. Older baby may sleep during a session and have awake time, but may not be able to curl into womb positions or want to be wrapped. Unwrap or difficult newborn photos are never guaranteed but usually achieved with babies under 2 weeks with wrapped or lifestyle poses .We do believe that generally babies can be successfully photographed at any age.
That's why we always say 5-14 days is the best for newborn because they will still have the impression they are in the womb. Newborn photography is capturing the essence of womb-like photos.
Baby Safety and Composites
Newborns are the most delicate human beings in the world. Baby safety is so incredibly important during a session. It is important to understand that we take baby safety very seriously. We usually work in pair, all our sessions will be captured by us. And we always have a safety hand behind your baby during the session. Most complicated images are composites and not all babies are able to bend in all poses. We will always discuss poses before we start the session and explain how we achieve the pose. These poses require our spotters.
Newborn Session
Our typical newborn session will last 2 - 4 hours. Depands on how many poses you required and corporative of your baby. Some babies may take a little bit longer to settle, so do keep your mine that your session duration will be dependent on factor.
Studio or Home Session ( NO Confinement Center)
Our studio is located Sungai Petani, Kedah. It's strictly by appointment only. You can choose your session at our studio or done at your home.
Please NOTE that there will be an additional on location fee for newborn sessions done at home. we have different charges fee and depend on your location. Please check out with us for the on location rates.
Please NOTE that We DO NOT go to any Confinement Center due to space limitation, environment and health issues. If you wish to have our session, we are willing travel to your home. We highly recommended if you can come to our sanitised studio in Sungai Petani for newborn photography session because it is more quiet, clean and less duration of times taken during session. The progress usually take 2- 4 hours to complete depends on the package you took and your baby cooperativeness.
However, if you are not convenient when still in confinement center, we recommend you to get the session done once your baby is reaching full moon and able to have the session at your home.

Our Newborn Props
We will provide all the props, wraps, outfits, hats, bonnets, headbands, blankets, layers and backdrops for the newborn baby and photographic equipment needed for your shoot. We have a wide collection of wraps, props and outfit. Newborn props are very costly. As we only. use the best quality and delicate props for our newborn babies. Most of our props are carefully sourced Internationally. They are mainly import from United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Canada and Poland. We have full list of our trusty vendors. We always upfront in every Facebook post, so that we can always shop and bring the new, latest trend and special style for your baby boys and girls. More importantly, all these products are special designed and custom made for newborn photography and are safe for your baby. Some of them are seasonal ,limited edition or only one. But all these will make me feel worth at all, cause tis will make your baby cutest to the maximum. I will share and updated the props we have and invest.

- After selection, it will take 3-4 weeks /21-28 workings day to process.

All final images will have been individually hand-edited by us, and are never outsourced, to ensure that they meet our highest artistic and consistency standards. This may result in occasional delays depending on our workload, but this is because each and every image is created entirely by us, from our camera to your final gallery.
- After done edit, it will take 2-3 week/ 14-21 workings day to process printing photo / album
- After done printing, it will take 1-2 week/ 7-14 workings day to check the final print and arrangement for dispatch

We are ok to do 1 or 2 photos for you first (for full moon gift purpose) but others will progress according to the time frame.

My baby has been born already. Am I too late to book?

It is never too late to have your baby photographed. It is important to manage expectations of a session. You can still potentially book in with me after your baby has arrived but it will depend on my availability, which may be limited in the weeks you need. Newborn photography is best done before your baby is two weeks old. Please contact me as soon as possible to arrange your photoshoot, and I will do my best to fit you in around existing appointments. Curly sleepy newborn photos are never guaranteed but usually achieved with babies under 2 weeks. A 6 week baby may sleep during a session and have awake time, but may not be able to curl into womb positions or want to be wrapped. We do believe that generally babies can be successfully photographed at any age.
Do you take walk-ins?

Unfortunately, no. All of our sessions are by appointment only and generally scheduled weeks in advance.
How do I book a newborn session with AI SIGNATURE NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY?

Due to this pandemic period, we only accept 25 newborn photography sessions for a month. Which means one session per day only. therefore our slot is taken very fast. We strongly advice that you book your session with us ASAP to avoid disappointed. We generally set a tentative date based on your due date. Generally babies don’t arrive when predicted, but at least we will have a starting point, and I will save your name up and put you in my calendar for your birth 'month'. My pre-booked clients will always take priority over sessions booked last minute. You can book with us at our Whatapps or call us. We do not accept deposit for confirmation as it is subject to change with prior notice and reason.
What happened if I delivered early or late?

By booking your session with me, your new baby has priority on my schedule. That means if the baby comes early or late your baby is guaranteed a spot on my calendar. We will reschedule Since baby’s safety is always our priority, we have to insist that parents ensure their baby is healthy enough his or her first photography session. While this could mean that we won’t be able to photograph your little one within the first 14 days, don’t worry, we will do our best to customise our session based on baby’s age, temperament and health condition.
What if my baby jaundice need to stay in hospital for some treatment?

The most common reason babies remain in the hospital after birth is jaundice. If the baby needs to stay in the hospital for a little longer than expected, your session may be rescheduled or postponed to a later date. Your baby’s health is of the utmost importance. There’s no need to feel pressured about your newborn session just because your little one needs a little extra attention after birth. Once the baby has been discharged and given a clean bill of health by the paediatrician, we can carry out the session as planned.
How long does the session last?

Our newborn sessions last between 1.5-3 hours depending on the Package you choose and the corporative of your baby. This includes time if we need extra feeding, soothing breaks, change and cuddle your baby. Babies are all unique and some require more attention than others, so do keep in mind that your session duration will be dependent on this factor.
What if my baby doesn’t sleep?

Many babies do not sleep thru their session. Some are wide awake the entire time!! We can usually still achieve some amazing images, especially if they are wrapped!
What if my baby cries or my baby doesn’t sleep?

Babies are babies and they will cry! We do everything we can to soothe and comfort them and surround them with a comfortable environment. We has been working with newborns for 4 years straight, handle more than 500 newborns and as a mother herself has many soothing techniques and tips. And if babies do not sleep thru their session. Some are wide awake the entire time!! We can usually still achieve some amazing images example they open eyes photo, especially if they are wrapped!
What about photos with families/siblings?

When will I received the preview gallery after done the session?
